The LeMoyne Crematory
|
 Dr.
Francis Julius LeMoyne became interested in cremation about
1875, advocating its general adoption. He built the first crematory
in the U.S. in 1876. He was cremated there October 16, 1879,
and his ashes buried just in from the crematory, marked by a
modest granite stone. |
